Car 108. Bill Beilharz and Jorge Ceballos, 2008 champions, dominated the qualification session in the Chiapas Autodromo and they will start up in first position on Friday, when the XXIII edition of la Carrera Panamericana starts.
Beilharz and Ceballos did an extraoficial time of 4.37.4 minutes on their Studebaker. Michael Jourdain qualified in second with 4.49.9 with his navigator Miguel Angel Diez.
The Turismo Mayor cars showed their superiority. In third place brothers Alejandro and Mauricio Pimentel in their Dodge set a time of 4.46.9 minutes.
Jorge Pedrero was fourth with Marco Hernandez in their Turismo de Produccion Studebaker, with 4.47.3 minutes.
Harri Rovanpera and Journi Narhi qualified in fifth with 4.47.9 minutes.
Doug Mockett and Angelica Fuentes will start in sixth with their Oldsmobile Super 88 with a time of 4.54.4 minutes.
