Michel Jourdain was the first major casualty at Mil Cumbres today, the car crashed with a fence and couldn´t continue for the day. Hopefully the MHR team can repair it to get it ready for tomorrow.

Brothers Torresbasca in their blue Chevy Bel Air (see pic above) got out of the road and out of the race because of the damage to the car. A kilometer later Van der Straten also suffered an out of the road incursion, but his mechanics worked the car out and after getting it in shape the car continued to the next speed stages.

Taz Harvey said via facebook: "Redemption. First in class 8th overall. 4th fastest overall in the mil cumbres stage in the mountains downhill. The datsun 510 is finally running to it´s potential" And as he told me at the hotel on monday night, after arriving with the car repaired from Puebla. They were willing to recover and enjoy the race. And he and Rudy are making it worth it.

Johnny Tipler has also reported that he and Sarah will race tomorrow, the car has been fixed for the oil leak that made them get towed to Guanajuato after 3 speed stages..

Another of the cars in trouble was Pedro Vidal´s Mini, the car rolled 10 meters in a speed stage between San Miguel and Guanajuato. Some reports on the internet said someone in the car suffered a broken rib, but no additional information has been said.

No official information about how many cars are still on the race, but I think that from the 127 that originally were signed in, there are less than 90 ready for tomorrow.

About the mustang accident from yesterday, FIRE report says the mustang crash in a transit stage with a private car. But others, like Gerie Bledsoe, said the crash happened during a speed stage. Lets wait for the official report on the matter.

Unofficial results for the day say: 1. Triviño, 2. Van der Straten, 3. Mockett.
