Tomorrow the teams will have the recce at Spain roads. The next rally in the calendar and the last one before the calendar end in Rally Great Britain. What do we have so far? Loeb and Hirvonen are tied with 196 points. Why? because Loeb had engine failure in France and did not finish, not even in super rally. So no points for the multichampion. Hirvonen finished in 4th. But thanks to Peter Solberg´s lighter than permited car and his disqualification, Mikko moved to third and got more points. This happened after rally oficials discover Solberg´s car was 4 kilos lighter. So now the equation is moving in this direction: two archrivals tied on top. If they get too focused on each other, the other french guy from Citroen can get advantage as he is 3 points down, and this could be Ogier´s year. Maybe its time to have a new king. I bet for Ford, but Ogier its constant as Hirvonen isn´t, and bad luck can strike twice in Loeb´s car.
For me, this is the last real chance for Mikko to get the championship. Lets see if he and the Fiesta can stand the pressure and work their way to the top. Lets see what Spain brings to this year rally history. Rally on!!
